Coincidence

Since my exams are over and my summer holidays have officially started, I decided to do something that I have not done for some time. Yesterday, I went to the Sunway area to look at car parts for fun with a friend. I brought my iPod to take photos as there would be many performance cars lurking around that area as it is famous for car tuning and modification.

While I was walking around, I saw one white Celica inside a shop doing some work. I recognize the car number plate to be a member's car and I chatted with him and another member. Apparently, they bought a Celica TRD M-Sport halfcut with many goodies. So, the both of them were sharing parts and work on their Celicas. It was a surprise meeting them there.

Here are the photos I got from yesterday's visit. There were some old cars, some rare cars, some with cool car number plate and a few Toyota cars. I always say why no Toyota sports cars. Hope you enjoy.

Birthday Run

Last Thursday while I was having my 4th exam, 2 Celica Club members called and texted me and invited me to another member's birthday bash. I was going to have another exam the next day and I still have not prepared fully for that exam. However, I was tempted to join my fellow club members for a ride and celebration, a break from my dull exam-studying month. So, after the exam, I called my member and told them I would go that night.

Everyone was sad because of the exam as it was out of the usual format but I was super excited for the celebration that was going to happen on that night. I went home and studied then I went out. I had some chat with other members and saw a lot of other Celicas along with 3 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 9, 2 Nissan Fairlady 350z, 1 Nissan Fairlady 300zx, 1 Honda Integra DC5, 1 Toyota Corolla, 1 Toyota Celica ST202 GT2 (convert) and around 10 Toyota Celica ZZT-231. This is the largest gathering I went to.

After the Satay dinner (Bernard's treat), it was decided to convoy to the V1 pub in Puchong. Before I went there, I wanted to leave early to study before I sleep but the temptation of convoy influenced me and I agreed to it. I always loved the convoys because driving fast with other Celicas is fun. To my disappointment, it was a short drive. As I enter the pub, another member wanted to head home. So, I head home too. I did not know the way home and got lost. I found myself near KLIA and only reached home around 1:30 a.m.. After all, I had fun. Here are some photos of the gathering.

Ps. I hope my results is not affected by this outing.

Local Sightings

When my cousin came for visit from Singapore, my family and I showed her around. We went for many meals in places such as Bangsar and Suria KLCC, and Lowyat for her technology needs. This was a chance for me to go and see whether I could get any luck with cars or not because areas like Bangsar is filled with nice cars.

My luck was good as I found some great cars but the 2 main types that I always see during that day are Nissan GT-R R35 and Mazda RX-8. I was surprised with the few R35 but not surprised with the many RX-8. I managed to get some photos of my sightings and hope you enjoy. Here are some of the RX-8 photos but I did not capture all.

Labour Day

As promised, my exams are over and it's time for summer holiday. So, I'm back in the blog and I will continue to post entries. On this year's Labour Day, I took a trip to Singapore with my family and Singapore has always meant a few things to me such as shopping paradise, delicious food but most importantly the land of great new imported cars.

Singapore has always been a land of Mitsubishi Lancers, Mazda 3s and Subaru Impreza as these models, new and old roam the streets of Singapore in large amount. Furthermore, any new models launched in every corner of the world would be available in Singapore. So, it is always an eye-opener to see cars in Singapore.

While I was there, there are many good sightings and among the usual I saw great numbers of Mazda RX-8 and Honda Integra DC5R. However, Toyota sports car such as Supra, Celica, Altezza and MR-S are nowhere to be found. It was a disappointment as I wanted to see fellow Toyota drivers. I tried to take photos of my sighting but I did not manage to capture most of my sightings.

On the side, I have an uncle who lives in Singapore who likes to change the rims of his Toyota Camry. He first change to a 18" black with red accent rim. It was huge and matching surprisingly to his Camry and it was big. I liked it but during this trip, he told me he changed to a 19" rim this time. It wasn't my taste but again damn it's big. Everyone likes big rims. Haha. Unfortunately, I don't have the first rim's photo but I have the new one. Just see and tell me what you think.

Sad News

As I am having dreadful exam period, I have been MIA from my blog and I have many things to share. However, a sad news made be broke out of my hiatus and post something here. There has been news that one Celica Club Malaysia (CCM) member has met with an accident on May 17th at 1a.m. on the Federal Highway.

Although I do not know him personally (being a new member) but other members know him by the name trdabong or just abong. When I saw his car in photo, it was just horrible that something like that happen to a Celica. This made me afraid to even think of what happen to the poor driver. I hope he gets well and at least able to get some insurance claim for his medical bill. Gotta drive safe. Here are some photos to share.

*There's been an update about his condition. According to a source, it is said that he is fine and at home. However, his car is totaled (can be seen from photo).
